Congrats
to all nominees and winners, and thanks to everyone who supports indie
music! Independent music is flourishing in Ontario because of our
collective efforts, to play, record, tour, promote, and buy
independently released music in this province. We are honoured to be a
part of such a vibrant creative community!

TIMA Winner!
Date: October 6, 2006
A funny but lovely thing happened last night at the Phoenix Concert Theatre: we won the Toronto Independent Music Award for Best Jazz!
I send fierce love and respect to all the other nominees who I was so honoured to be in the company of, especially: Kellylee Evans, blueVenus, Emma Lee, Angie Nussey, Linda M, and Ray Edge.
I also send many mushy thank-you's to Oliver Johnson and Jane Harbury for being behind this humble folk/(jazz?)/soul songstress, whether she's winning the awards or not.
