Spring makes me happy.  It always has.  There is so much newness and natural beauty bursting into the world, it always feels more like the New Year to me than January 1 - a time to celebrate what's hatching, or being re-invented.  The Earth is my favorite teacher on the subject of re-invention...

So far 2012 has been full of full days...Writing new songs, singing background vocals, dancing in ON, NY, and PA, producing a workshop for over a hundred dancers from across North America here in Toronto, teaching some dear children, and...Drum-roll please....Entering into the world of wedding planning!  Yes folks, this onstage duo is an offstage duo too, and this Summer we're gettin' hitched!

From Hawaii to Honey to Ottawa Bluesfest, 2011 was a huge year for us...

This Fall, join Layah for movement and music gatherings designed to let Toronto youth explore and embody their creative spirits. As we dance, sing, and play together, space is held for each child’s unique voice and spirit to emerge, with the understanding that each blossoming dancer and singer comes to this gathering with their own inherent creativity and wisdom to share with the group.

Fall 2011 groups for 6-10 yr old boys and girls, and 8-12 yr old girls!
